Dr. Yeap Ban Har is presently a lecturer at the NIE. He was previously a head of department at a local secondary school. He has taught students in various streams, both in primary and secondary schools. Dr. Yeap holds a Master of Education and a Ph.D. in Mathematics Education. His current research interest focuses on problem solving, problem posing and thinking skills. He has been conducting workshops for teachers in Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand and the United States of America ("U.S.A."). He has authored many conference papers and written chapters for several books. He is also the author of several books for primary and pre-school children.

Sharpen the thinking skills of your students by helping them relate concepts that they have learnt in school to real life situations that they would encounter.

| DESIGN OF THE TRAIL |

- Tailored Trail (in line with current school syllabus), which would be catered specially for the need of students.
- Other subjects (e.g. English, Science, National Education, Social Studies, etc) can be incorporated.

| FEATURES |
 |

 A ratio of 1 facilitator : 16 to 20 students to ensure the smooth conduct of the Trail and the safety of students.

Setup 5 to 8 stations at selected venue (such as Esplanade, Changi Airport, Botanic Gardens, etc.) focusing on different concepts.

Students working in groups of 3 to 4 and would be given a trail booklet to explore, find and solve the puzzles at the different stations.

A debrief on the objectives and learning outcome of every station
