ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR LIM TIT MENG is currently the Vice President of the Singapore Institute of Biology and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Science in the National University of Singapore. He attained his bachelors in Zoology from NUS and his Ph.D. from Cambridge University in UK on a Churchill College scholarship. His research interests cover neurobiology and biotechnology and he is currently involved in developing a cell culture system that allows the tissue engineering of human periodontal construct. He has received many teaching awards over the years and is a popular speaker at workshops and seminars. He was the Sub Dean of the Science Faculty, a Director of the Bioscience Centre, a Programme Director for many Life Sciences workshop series, the Deputy Head of the Department of Biological Sciences, and holds many other administrative portfolios. He also served at the Ministry of Education on education matters related to Life Sciences.

- Design and tailor trail questions (in line with current school syllabus), which would be catered to suit the unique need of students
- Sharpen the thinking skills of your students by helping them relate concepts that they have learnt in school to real life situations that they would encounter.
- Help students realise that learning Science could be very enjoyable and fun.

| DESIGN OF THE TRAIL |
 |
- Focuses on all five main themes of Primary Science education: Diversity, Cycles, Interaction, Systems and Energy.
- Tailored Trail questions that require students to think creatively and critically. This would go a long way in helping students to be more innovative and enterprising.
- Activities that would also help students hone their basic process skills such as Observing, Comparing, Classifying, Communicating and Analyzing.
- Solving questions in their teams helps students to improve on their ability to work in teams and also helps to nurture their leadership abilities.
- To add value to the current education your students receive in school by providing an environment for team building, relating of knowledge to reality, personal mastery and building of their social skills.

| FEATURES |
 |
- A ratio of 1 facilitator : 15 to 20 students to ensure the smooth conduct of the Trail and the safety of students.
- Setup 5 to 7 stations at selected venue (such MacRitchie Reservoir, Bukit Timah Nature Reserve, Botanical Gardens, Lower Pierce Reservoir etc.) focusing on different Science themes.
- Students working in groups of 3 to 4 and would be given a trail booklet to explore, find and solve the puzzles at the different stations.
- A debrief on the objectives and learning outcome of every station.
