ABOUT ZENITANT
Our Mission |
"In an increasingly complex world, students need thinking skills as life skills. I look at intelligence as the potential of the mind. This is equivalent to the horsepower of a car. There may be a powerful car which is driven badly and a humble car which is driven well. Thinking is the most fundamental and most important human skill. Our future depends upon our thinking both in terms of solving problems and in terms of making the best use of available knowledge and assets. How is it then that 'thinking' as such is almost totally neglected."
Edward De Bono
|
De Bono's statement echoes the drive and motivation behind Zenitant. At Zenitant, we believe that every human being has a latent potential that could, and should be maximized. Throughout history, success has been shown to involve not just intelligence, but many other factors such as passion, creativity, discipline, emotional quotient,….. the list goes on, and they could be collectively described as life skills. Recognising that these skills are often developed through learning and experience outside the normal school curriculum, Zenitant aims to fill that void by providing quality training and proven techniques on thinking skills to help students develop essential life skills.
Through learning various thinking skills and how it could be applied to solve real life problems including academic questions, we hope that students could finally utilise their "neglected" assets to contribute to our society.

Our Core Competencies |
Zenitant specialises in providing education programmes developed by well-known professors and academics to schools in Singapore and in the region. Our enrichment programmes emphasises on thinking skills and its applications. Our combination of imparting both academic and life skills to our students would enable them to develop into all-rounded individuals.
Our trainers are all ex-school teachers with at least 3 years of experience in classroom management. They are handpicked and personally trained by our consultants prior to their assignment to schools. Hence, they would have adequate classroom management experience and would also be well-trained on the enrichment programmes that they would be teaching.

Singapore Education Market |
Singapore schools are given the discretion to engage external vendors to conduct suitable enrichment programmes to complement the normal curriculum taught during lessons. To fund these enrichment programmes, schools could make use of students’ Edusave account funds contributed by the Singapore Government.
Every student who is a Singapore citizen would receive a yearly contribution of $160 from the Government’s Edusave Pupils Fund until he is 16 years old. All primary and secondary schools, JCs, CIs, ITE and special education schools would also receive annual Edusave grants to organise enrichment programmes for students.
Since 2001, there has been a major revamp of schools’ subject syllabuses at all levels to incorporate the 3 MOE initiatives on Thinking Skills, Information Technology and National Education. Moving forward, everybody expects even more changes as the school syllabuses evolve to allow students room to be more creative and to develop life-long learning skills, which are so important in the present global climate.
How does Zenitant come into the picture? We look forward to provide enrichment programmes for parents, teachers and students to help them to cope with these changes. We provide training for:
- PARENTS
To help them understand what their children are presently learning, and how to facilitate and guide their childrens' learning process.
- TEACHERS
To inform them about the latest frameworks and techniques in guiding their students. Particularly in the areas of critical thinking, creative thinking and IPW, and how they could be applied to the various academic subjects they are teaching.
- STUDENTS
To teach them the art of using sophisticated thinking skills to improve their problem solving abilities and their academic results.
